Leonding is a small town, located 5 kilometers (3 miles) southwest of Linz, Austria. Adolf Hitler moved there with his family in November 1898 when he was 9 years old. He lived with his family in this house at Number 16 Michaelsbergstrasse for seven years. Hitler's father purchased the house for 7,700 Kronen on a ten-year mortgage; it was later sold for 10,000 Kronen.
